Let’s be real: you didn’t book an overland expedition because you wanted a sanitized, "play-it-safe" resort experience. You’re here for the dust, the sunsets, and the raw heart of Africa.

At Bazenga Safaris & Wild Expeditions, we live for the "Wild," but we never gamble with the "Expedition." Here is the straight talk on how we keep you safe while you’re out there living your best life.

1. The Ground Truth: Security
Kenya and our East African neighbors are open, vibrant, and ready for you. But Africa isn't a monolith—it’s a mosaic.

The Bazenga Bubble
When you’re with us, you’re backed by local intel. If a border post in the DRC is acting up or a bridge is washed out in Uganda, we know it before the satellites do.

City Smarts
In hubs like Nairobi or Kampala, we’ll show you the hidden gems and the best coffee, but we’ll also tell you when to put the camera away and which streets to skip after sunset.

2. Health is Wealth (And Mobility)
You can’t enjoy the Serengeti if you’re stuck in your tent.

The Yellow Card
It’s your golden ticket. No Yellow Fever jab, no entry. Get it at least 10 days before we hit the road.

Stay Hydrated, Stay Happy
We provide safe water, but we always say: "If you can't peel it or boil it, think twice."

AMREF Flying Doctors
For our remote expeditions, we don't just hope for the best. We ensure access to emergency evacuation services. If the wild gets a little too wild, we’ve got the wings to get you out.

3. The "Boring" Stuff (That Actually Matters)
Kenya’s new digital entry system (eTA) is fast, but don’t leave it until you’re at the airport. Get it done at least two weeks before departure.

Visas & Border Crossings
Crossing into Tanzania or Rwanda? We’ll help guide the logistics — you just bring the passport and the adventure spirit.

Six-Month Rule
Check your passport expiry date right now. If it has less than six months remaining, border officials may deny entry.

4. Respect the Wild
Safety isn’t just about politics or paperwork — it’s also about the wildlife and the environments we explore.

Listen to the Lead
Our guides know this terrain better than anyone. If they say stay in the vehicle, you stay in the vehicle.

Leave No Trace
We are guests in these wild spaces. We respect the wildlife, local communities, landscapes, and every campsite we pass through.

The Bazenga Creed
We don’t do tourist traps. We do authentic, gritty, soul-stirring travel. We’ve built relationships with hotels, lodges, tourism departments, border teams, and local communities to make every expedition unforgettable.
